Founder
Vivo International Adventures was founded by life-long traveler Jay Mahoney who wanted to offer unique adventure travel opportunities to remote and emerging destinations. The concept was simple, but elegant- Provide experienced and intelligent travelers with an opportunity to visit new lands and enjoy the direct contact with the people, culture and natural sights. The extra challenge has been to do so while enjoying some of the finest accommodations and dining that could be offered, even in remote locations. Vivo International Adventures strives to have travelers come away from their trips with a better understanding of the area they visit, not only having completed checklist of sights seen. We also hope that those whom we visit will learn more about and appreciate our travelers and their countries of origin.

Sustainable Practices
Vivo International Adventures is committed to operating trips in manners that are as non-intrusive to the people, culture or nature as possible to the lands we visit. We maintain sound ecological practices and we support in-country vendors who do as well. Our planet’s resources are not infinite and our responsible stewardship is essential to insuring that future generations may enjoy what we enjoy. This is sometimes especially important in emerging countries.
Giving Back
Vivo International Adventures supports non-profit agencies who demonstrate effective and dependable methods for protecting and improving our world’s resources. We are proud supporters of The Nature Conservancy and World Wildlife Fund whose long histories of preservation are respected throughout the world. We strongly encourage our clients to support their charities of choice for the betterment of our world. We are also always on the lookout for responsible non-governmental organizations who operate within the countries we visit and who strive to make positive impact within those borders.
